Panasonic Hall-effect swiches ICs (magnetic sensors) feature ultra-low average supply currents down to 3μA and high sensitivity down to 4mT (operating point). The available omnipolar and bipolar variants are ideal for open-close, proximity, or rotation detection, or as a replacement for mechanical switches in battery operated devices and energy efficient appliances. These mixed signal ICs integrate on a single chip the Hall element, an offset cancellation circuit, an amplifier, a sample hold circuit, a Schmitt-trigger, the output stage FET(s), and come in tiny 4mm² packages.
