Panasonic Robot & Welding and DVS cooperate to train Welding Professionals together

Neuss, November 12, 2018 - Panasonic Robot & Welding, a business division of Panasonic Industry Europe, has announced a cooperation with the German welding industry association DVS to support the education and training of professionals in the industry. As a result, Panasonic is now able to train the operators of fully automatic welding equipment in accordance with industry guidelines.

Calin-Marius Pogan, Research and Technology Department at DVS, explained: "While training can be done by manufacturers of industrial robots, final testing and certification will continue to be carried out exclusively at the DVS educational institutions."

Peer Schumacher, Department Head at Panasonic Robot & Welding: "We cooperate with DVS to increase the qualification of skilled workers in this area and help to avoid a future shortage of welding experts."

DVS is currently working with seven leading manufacturers in the automation industry in Germany to meet the needs of the business community, and especially the industry, by strengthening the training offered to operators in this field. DVS aims to cooperate with more manufacturers in the future.
